Custom wedding dress in 2 weeks

My brother and his fiancee Zayna announced their engagement in February, and set their wedding date for May of next year (2027). However, as our annual Arizona family reunion drew closer, they made the gametime decision to move their wedding up in an effort to ensure that our grandparents would be a part of their big day. Our grandparents are in their early to mid-90's, and being included in the celebrations would mean the world to them.

Zayna called me shortly after the news of their last minute wedding date change, and asked if I would be willing to help her with the dress. What unfolded morphed from providing perspective on Ebay listings, to plans for altering an existing wedding dress I happened to have in my closet (the things no one tells you about being a costume designer... you'll become a pack rat, hahaha!), to a slightly deranged secret new plan on my end... build Zayna a custom wedding dress from scratch.
